New on Xbox Game Pass in October 2026: Battlefield 6, Gears of War: E-Day and What’s Leaving

Updated October 17, 2026 · Written by a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber (Xbox Series X and Windows 11 PC)

October 2026 is a strong month for Xbox Game Pass. Gears of War: E-Day arrived on day one, Battlefield 6 joined on October 13, and Valiant Hearts: Coming Home was added as a surprise early in the month. Nine games left on October 15, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and A Plague Tale: Requiem. Two more day-one games follow at the end of the month.

The highlights

• Gears of War: E-Day – the new Gears game, day one in Ultimate and PC Game Pass since October 6.
• Battlefield 6 – last year’s big shooter, in Ultimate and PC Game Pass since October 13.
• The Séance of Blake Manor and Terrible Lizards – day one on October 27 and October 29.

All games joining in October 2026

Microsoft has not announced the second October wave yet (as of October 17). It usually follows in the second half of the month. I will add those games here.

Left Game Pass on October 15, 2026

• A Plague Tale: Requiem
• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
• Crime Scene Cleaner
• Donut County
• Evil West
• Pacific Drive
• The Casting of Frank Stone
• Nova Roma (PC, Game Preview)
• Superball (Ultimate and PC Game Pass perk)

No further departures for October have been announced yet. If you want to keep playing one of these games, you can buy it; your save files stay.

Which tier gets what

If you play new releases on day one, Ultimate or PC Game Pass is the tier that matters. Premium gets games later and only some of them.
