South of Midnight: A Mysterious Game
South of Midnight looks really promising. The trailers already look great. The game from Compulsion Games is set in the deep South of the USA and promises a mix of action, adventure, and a hefty dose of mystery. You play as Hazel, who has supernatural powers and has to deal with all sorts of cryptic creatures. The atmosphere is dark and mysterious, and the story seems really engaging. Avowed: The Return of RPGs
Obsidian Entertainment, the creators of Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds, are bringing us Avowed. This will be a first-person RPG in the style of Skyrim, but with the typical Obsidian twist. You’ll explore the world of Eora and have to make choices between different factions. Your decisions have consequences, and the story is said to be really complex and multi-layered. I’m looking forward to diving into this world and forging my own path. Here are a few points that define Avowed:
- A huge, open world to explore
- A complex story with many choices
- A deep character system
Avowed could be the RPG highlight of the year. Expectations are high, but Obsidian has proven in the past that they can deliver. I’m curious to see if they can meet those high expectations.
